Basic Function:

Performs standard mechanical entry level engineering tasks and activities under the
direction of engineering personnel.

 

Responsibilities:

This position requires performance of Mechanical Engineering skills, inclusive of those
identified below:

  • Conduct SolidWorks tasks including entry level mechanical design, drawings, Enterprise
    PDM data management, and creation of toolbox features.
  • Assist in performing integrating and collecting engineering data for basic lab-based
    testing.
  • Ability to machine and fabricate simple prototype test components.
  • Assist engineering personnel in creating PowerPoint presentations and engineering test
    data reduction using MS Excel, writing reports using MS Word.
  • Other related job duties, as assigned.

 

Experience:

Required: Previous experience in Solidworks, engineering lab activities, and/or similar
experience.

Preferred: Machining capabilities using Lathe, Mill, Bandsaw, etc.

 

Education:

Preferred: Path to completing an engineering degree, mechanical (preferred).

 

Skills:

  • SolidWorks
  • Microsoft Office tools
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of Mechanical Systems
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical components/devices

 

Other:

• Ability to travel approximately 5% of the time
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (requires U.S. Citizenship)
