About the Position:

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the design, test, and integration of complex, high speed FPGAs (mostly Xilinx).
  • Develop architectures compatible with embedded Linux environments.
  • Design and support top-level system simulations.
  • Fully document design details and hold a design review prior to implementation.
  • Work in a fast-paced development team, working closely with hardware and software engineers during test and integration.
  • Translate system requirements into FPGA architectures.
  • Develop FPGA designs using HDL (VHDL, System Verilog, etc.).
  • Support systems integration and Test Engineering to produce functional designs.
  • Implement and contribute to the architecture of current and next generation multi-megapixel camera systems, interfacing with the Camera Link and SpaceWire standards.
  • Design systems capable of handling Imager data and Image processing (Embedded Camera Development).
  • Create and document test plans to assure integrated performance meets specification.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 5 or more years of experience in design, test, and integration of complex, high speed FPGAs.
  • Experience with lab equipment.
  • Ability to read, understand, and review schematic drawings.
  • Experience with technical documentation.
  • Ability to multitask and handle a dynamic work environment.

 

Salary: $75,000 – $100,000

 

ITAR Requirement:

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
